The UCS30 stands out with its built-in preamplifier, designed for seamless integration with scintillation detectors. Its versatile bipolar amplifier provides the flexibility of polarity selection and supports various detector types that rely on external preamplifiers.

To ensure precise signal control, the UCS30 allows you to configure upper and lower level discriminators to filter out unwanted signals. Additionally, it incorporates a dedicated background buffer, which proves invaluable for tasks like background subtraction, fractional spectrum stripping, or overlay.

Operating with a robust high voltage supply rated at +2048 volts, the UCS30 accommodates scintillation or proportional detectors. It also offers optional polarity selection to meet the needs of detectors requiring negative bias. The unit features selectable inputs for preamplification, amplification, or direct ADC connection.

Beyond its standard pulse height analysis mode, the UCS30 serves as a versatile multichannel scaler, facilitating time-correlated studies such as half-life decay analysis. It even boasts a dedicated Mossbauer mode with MSB output for synchronized drive circuitry. Moreover, the device opens up the possibility of performing X-ray mapping, thanks to the optional ROI output.

Available in three different models

The UCS30 is available in three different models, each with a different number of channels – 1024 (1K), 2048 (2K), and 4096 (4K).

Auto-Calibrate using a Cs-137 source (not Included)

The UCS30 includes an auto-calibrate feature that sets the high voltage and amplifier gain to 1 keV per channel using a Cs-137 source.
